Parish Council

 

Picture of the parish council!

Its role is to act on behalf of the local community in lobbying other authorities and public and private bodies.  The Parish Council is permitted to levy a rate which is used to meet its own costs and to fund local initiatives for the benefit to the community e.g. by helping to fund projects at the Village Hall and St Bartholomew’s Church.

Meetings are normally held in the Village Hall bi-monthly  (Jan, March, May, July, Sept, Nov).  Notices of the meetings, together with agenda and minutes, are posted on the notice board at St Bartholomew’s Church and on this website.  Meetings are open to the public.
