The Badger - Church Minshull's only pub!

Great News on the Badger pub in Church Minshull!!! The village pub has been closed for about 4 years and thanks to local business men who have expertise in the field, with the local Kershaw's wine bar/bistro chain in Nantwich, Sandbach and Congleton to name but a few, the Badger is set to come back to life. Work has begun on the project which required many hurdled to be crossed as this old building has listed status and is in close proximity to St. Bartholomew's Church. Both villagers and people passing through the village, many from the local canal traffic will be delighted with the prospect of dropping in for a quick pint and some lovely food. Work still continues bit at a very slow pace! Its now 2011 and we still wait for our village pub! Latest News July 2011 Dear residents, May I take this opportunity to introduce myself, as hopefully I will be your new pub landlord? I have fifteen years experience in village pub life in Whitegate. My childhood was spent in The Spinner and Bergamot Inn at Comberbach, and as a baby The Oddfellows Arms, Davenham. My family go back generations in the pub trade. I believe the Badger may present itself as being one of the biggest challenges yet to face me. Only with the help of the local community can a village pub survive, I will give The Badger my all and I hope I give Church Minshull a pub that it can be proud of. I am aiming to have a Chruch Minshull residents only open day on the 7th August if all goes to plan, which should give you all plenty of time to look around the pub and guest rooms. We are hoping for August 8th as the grand opening. This is not set in stone but it is achievable. We will be updating our Website regularly with photographs of the alterations, staff vacancies and also a design competition for the best hand drawn badger picture for our stationary, menus etc. Would it be possible for you to add our web address to your website? www.badgerinn.co.uk We are keen to promote a sense of history and are looking for any information or old photographs of Church Minchull.
